A Unique Conference in a Beautiful Setting

STRAT USA took place in beautiful Boulder CO. Boulder is an amazing town with the picturesque Flatiron mountains just on the edge of town, the world famous Pearl Street pedestrian mall, lots of open air dining, and many easily accessible hiking trails. We purposely schedule the conference adjacent to a weekend for people that would like to combine some amazing leisure time with the best in design strategy and innovation. Here's a Boulder Visitor Guide that describes many of the offerings that contribute to Boulder consistently ranking in the USA's top places to live.

Hotels

We didn't have an official conference hotel, because preferences typically vary widely depending on the Boulder experience our attendees are seeking. There were two hotels walking distance from our venue: Hotel Boulderado (classic, old-fashioned) and the St. Julien (upscale hotel, more expensive). About a mile away near 28th St. and Canyon there are a number of hotels that are much newer and also less expensive (Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Residence Inn, etc.).

Transportation To and From the Airport

The Denver airport is about 45 miles from Boulder. Rental cars are an option, but if you’re staying near Boulder Theater, a car may turn out to be unnecessary because Pearl St. Mall restaurants, bars and shops are just a block away. Uber and Lyft are active in the Denver/Boulder area. There is a very low cost city bus that goes from the Denver airport to downtown Boulder and back. You need exact change to use this option ($11 last year).

Restaurants and Bars

A wide variety of restaurants and bars are just a few steps from Boulder Theater in the world famous Pearl St. pedestrian zone, including lots of outdoor and rooftop options with a panoramic view of the nearby mountains.
